Marc Emery
City: Vancouver
State: British Columbia
Country: Canada
Commentary:
Marc Emery, for those of you who don't know, owns the Cannabis Culture magazine, is the head of the B.C. Marijuana Party, and owns a bookstore and seed company in Vancouver, British Columbia. This man makes millions of dollars annually, and with that money invests in many marijuana legalization activist groups.

Many people criticize the man, and this site itself has not refrained from decrying his tendency towards demagoguery. A few of the links listed here lead to articles that seem to support this impression.

However, Mr. Emery is a truly effective activist, and his varied record of public stances shows a consistent, principled belief in individual liberty matched by a sober detachment from any absolutist party line.

Today, this site and many others around the world are watching the plight of perhaps the planets most recognizable member of the cannabis culture.
